Esther Jordan
STDcheck.com Author/Editor
Esther Jordan has been a writer ever since she can remember. She has always loved the free gift of self-expression through journaling, creating stories, and sharing life experiences in front of audiences. Public speaking and creating content has been a strong suit of hers since high school. Immediately after college, she received a paid position as an search engine optimization (SEO) writer in 2010 when SEO was still a very brick and mortar concept for a lot of small businesses. It was a time of do-it-yourself websites and online magic that everyone wanted and either referred to it as SEO or pay-per-click (PPC). As her career advanced and the online marketing industry grew, she became more and more familiar with how to successfully craft online content. Today, she works from home in California, where she has lived since 2013. Originally moving out West from the Great Smoky Mountains to look for more opportunities, both creatively and career wise. This geographical shift has greatly influenced her work and creative content. Esther gives back to the community by volunteering as a writer for political campaigns, child sex trafficking prevention groups, pro bono legal services for low income, and her church’s marketing team.

Alexa Amador
STDcheck.com Author
Alexa graduated from KSU with a B.A. in English and joined the STDcheck.com team in 2018. Before joining, she marketed and developed her own blog while working freelance for leading businesses. Having a robust skill set of research, writing, and editing has kept her busy and driven throughout both her academic and professional careers. Alexa became entangled in the sexual health business after coming from not only "abstinence-only" schooling but where the reproductive anatomy chapter was literally torn from her textbook. She realized how irresponsible it is for people to encourage ignorance about sexual health, especially to younger audiences, and so her passion for becoming part of the solution and educating the masses was born. When not writing for Exposed, Alexa enjoys taking vacations in the mountains with a good book and her dog, Nova.
